This is my knitwear project for pattern making class.
The project was to draft the pattern, write up a specification sheet and construct the garment. Everybody did something completely different with the project, some people did swim-wear, others did lingerie and then there were hoodies and tops. It was really great to have such an open project brief.
The fabrics I used were a cotton/polyester skull printed jersey knit for the main garment and polyester fleece for the hood lining and waist tie. The waist tie is in two pieces and attached to the garment at- you guessed it- the waist! It wraps around 2 or 3 times. The hood is pointed and has a bronze coloured coin with a pentagram attached at the tip. The hem comes down at 2 points either side of the front and 1 point at the centre back. The hem is over-locked with white thread. The front zip is an open ended coat zip with metal teeth painted grey.
The machines I used to construct the garment (pay attention, this is important!) were; a safety-stitch or 5-thread over-locker for the shoulder seams and attaching the hood, a mock safety-stitch or 4 thread over-lock pretty much everywhere else, an ordinary straight stitch for the zip and parts of the facing and cover stitch on the sleeve cuffs.
great outfit, and you look very cute wearing it,i'm sure you've heard that alot lol

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
